Diane Artal is Of Counsel at Garson, Segal, Steinmetz, Fladgate LLP.
She specializes in commercial, intellectual property, art and entertainment law, as well as in cross-border corporate transactions.
Diane is admitted to the bar in Switzerland. She practiced as a litigator for three years in Geneva, Switzerland, managing complex cases relating to contract law, debt collection and bankruptcy, corporate law, intellectual property, art law, family law and international private law. She handled all aspects of cases including developing legal strategies with clients and foreign counsel, representing clients and pleading in court during trial, negotiating and drafting complex settlement agreements with opposing counsel.
Prior to joining the firm, Diane interned at DC Comics (Warner Bros. Entertainment Co.). Her duties consisted of drafting licensing, publishing, designer and author agreements. She also performed legal research in copyright law, trademark and products safety, subject to U.S. law – EU regulations, and assisted in the prosecution of online rights enforcement.
Diane received her J.D. and Master’s Degree from the University of Geneva School of Law with a concentration in Art Law. She attended Cardozo School of Law and received her LL.M in Intellectual Property in 2010.
